Oakland Interfaith Kids Choir
The Oakland Interfaith Kids Choir introduces elementary and gospel music concepts to children ages 5 to 11 through rhythm games, singing, and movement.

In August 2022, OIKC had its initial rehearsal and performed after only four rehearsals at the 2022 Yuletide Youth Concert. OIKC rehearses concurrently with the Community Choir, once a month on Saturdays from 3 pm to 5 pm, from August to December and February to June. Choir tuition is $50 each semester ($10/month). Monthly payment plans are available, and no one is turned away due to lack of funds!

OIGC no longer requires proof of vaccination. However, due to ongoing COVID concerns, masks are strongly recommended at rehearsal. Ms. Isa
Isa Chu (she/her) dreamed of creating a children's choir like OIKC for almost a decade before it finally became a reality!
She’s been singing in church and school choirs since she was 5 and loves bringing music to life on stage as an actor. In 2005, Ms. Isa joined the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, and since then, she's been lucky enough to perform on amazing stages all over the world.
With a mix of piano and voice lessons, acting classes, and over 20 years of learning from the fabulous OIGC Director, Terrance Kelly, she’s excited to share her passion for music with the next generation!
