Join us in May, 2022 for four exciting, interactive workshops by Bay Area Black women musicians and music industry professionals. Once weekly starting in May, BGPMIC workshops will feature Kofy Brown, Alexis Mitchell, Vicki Randall, and Whit the DJ. Black girls interested in learning about professions in the music industry, from performing to behind the scenes. The Black Girls Play Music Industry Course (BGPMIC) workshops are designed to introduce Black girls and young women to the music industry. The youth attending each workshop will gain invaluable information and insight into the ecosystem that allows musicians to thrive in the music industry. These interactive workshops will serve as an introduction to the BGPMIC year-round program that offers instruction on various instruments, production and technology, marketing, the business of music, and mentorship.
